allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is………
i actually used my laptop for something real this weekend. it started with the creation of a few videos for a few special moms in my life. check them out if you haven’t already: (you)&(me) & [dear_mama]. i like, actually, like, learned some stuff. new stuff even.
i used chatgpt to help me find some video software and that landed me in kapwing. from there i found out how to extract audio from youtube, which required python, which required windows terminal, which required multiple python libraries, which required 7-zip, which i then realized no there’s no need for 7-zip, which – i think you get it.
sidebar: i’m offically in on ai at this point. like let the ai take over the world type stuff. let the robots know the cool stuff and i’ll just pull the cool stuff out when i need it. sorry my google robot overlords, i think that chatgpt stole me away from you. in fairness to my previous robot overlord, i still use gemini when i hit my usage limits elsewhere, so you still have some hope.
it’s robots from here though. good luck and teach your kids.
as to the videos i created, they made mah-baby cry and laugh and cry and laugh and cry and laugh and then cry some more, so i’d consider them a success.
so anywho, those videos helped me want to share so that led me back to my website, which led me back to my blog, which got me……..you get it. you are a sharp folk cuz look, here you are.
okay, even though you get it, i dove into the website, which is run on wordpress, which is hosted on bluehost, which has a mysql database, which led me to datagrip, which had me fighting with connecting the remote mysql database with my local datagrip client, which success!!! and then i even created a table!!! all with some github version control.
i created one table in a brand new database. i have a project (this isn’t it). time for a blog post.
